What I'm All About
I have always been drawn to layout, type and design. I intuitively compose the simplest of life pleasures into a feast for the eyes. Combining photography with layout design has led to advertisements that pop and you can’t turn away from. My passion for food has also been thrown in the mix! I love to cook and share it with friends and family. I spent a number of years in the food and beverage industry on a career path with a creative dead end. I have rediscovered my creative joy in design and photography.
As a designer and visual problem solver, I am constantly inspired by the world around us. I want to paint your story on this canvas of life.
Process & Goals
My process starts with an end goal in mind. What do I want the viewer to feel? What do I want the viewer to want? I am inspired by the design element found in our everyday lives. Interesting lines, shapes, colors and textures that are found in something as simple as a grapefruit. I like to enhance this information and incorporate it into my designs. I am amazed at the details that can be captured with my camera and the magic that happens in post process. I want the details of my images to be present, tangible and craveable.
I am currently working on a cookbook filled with the foods I crave. This personal project will combine my passion of photography, layout design and cooking to create a book worthy of your reclaimed barnwood coffee table. You will want to cook each recipe and bookmark it to recreate again and again.
